The CONS... PART I

So, I've waited a long (okay only 5 years but in dog years that's like 37 years - Ugh!) long time to go to my first (wait for it) COMIC CON SAN DIEGO!

I finally got to go this year, COMIC CON SAN DIEGO 2013!

I'm counting down to get tickets for 2014.

In 2011 I was so close to going, okay not really seeing as I think I was 15,000 in que after 15 minutes of the tickets being on sale.

Then they changed how you get tickets for 2012, but that was the First time I went to Thrillerfest in New York City.  I'll write another post about my experiences at Thrillerfest.  Of course that year, both Thrillerfest and Comic Con San Diego were during the same time.  UGH!!

This year, I timed it just perfect.  I had my HP mini-computer all ready and as a backup my Ipad.  I double-checked the time, synchronized the west coast time with the east coast and at exactly 0900 when the tickets went on sale - I HIT THE BUTTON!

I was something like 1,500 in the que.  It was thinking an  awfully long time, and for a second I almost had a mini-heart attack as the page went black.  What!  NO, where are my tickets I thought in a panic.  They said don't hit the reload or back button or your lose your place.  I went to my Ipad, but when I tried to log in it said that Sorry, there are no more tickets.  So I took a leap of faith and I hit the RELOAD button on the browser and  it was if the heavens opened up and started to sign the theme song to Star Wars just for me.  There on the page were my tickets.  Of course I got tickets for all four days, and I couldn't resist and splurged and chose the Preview Night.

Oh my goodness Comic Con San Diego 2013 here I come...
